Hello Nelo! We are currently away on sabbatical, working with Life Lab and learning Ethno Botany, planning to return to Chiapas in August. Can you come then? Kippy
Hello Nelo,
My name is Bruno Giesemann. I run Finca Argovia, a certified organic , RA, and Bird Friendly farm in Tapachula Chiapas, close to the border with Guatemala, to the Tacana Volcano and the pacific ocean. We run a diversification program, with tropical flowers and foliages, coffee, fruit trees, some spices and tourism.
Our web page is www.argovia.com.mx and or www.cuilcovalley.com.mx
I hope you are interested.
Hello Nelo
Thanks for writing back, well, we havent appeard on the link of farms, because as far as I know, the webmaster goes through the info , and not very often, so I hope we will appear soon enough.
On the other hand, yes, the finca has been getting reorganized, but it has taken us 18 tough years, and we still have a long way to go, and we always see an opportunity in exchanging experiences with students and now with wwoofers, hoping for a better future.
You could get involved in any of the activities of the farm or the hotel, helping hands and good example are always welcome. I am sure this could be a very intersting experience.
You can also reach me at bge@argovia.com.mx, which I check very often.
Also, on the dates you propose, you would be more than welcome.
Best regards
Bruno
Hello Nelo
Our farm finally made it to the page and I will hopefully be able in a pair of days be able to include more info. Anyway, with the work, usually we work in the field from 6am to 2pm with a break for breakfast, In the shops its more or less the same, but in the hotel, the shift is a bit different, we tend to split.
Just let me know in what are you fell more helpful, or in which you would like to participate. Also, on the date you wish to visit, its allright.
Saludos Bruno
