I'm pretty easy going, funny and not afraid of hard work. I believe in equality snd fairness. I'm ready to start doing something important with my days and life, instead of just feeding the corporate machine (that sounds ridiculous and cliche'd but, true)

Greetings and Salutations !!

My name is Jonathan.

I am 40 yo. A healthy and young 40, though. That being said...I am NOT seeking a place to crash or to party or to detox..

I am fascinated by Mexico and the history to explore and absorb. Plus,I have always had excellent experiences on my travels in Mexico.

Given the fact that i have grown up and spent many years living in Southern Texas, I have love for the language and the culture, the futbol, the food,,,especially ceviche.

Then, there's the incredible people...and the Ocean..

I have spent the majority of my career in sales and customer service, especially in the financial industry.

(after i stopped playing music professionally)

Due to what I guess you'd call "personal tragedies" and deaths close to me, my priorities in life have shifted.

That combined with the increasingly alarming issues with our food and water safety and cost; I have become more and more interested in building a self-sustained existence. At some point, I would like to buy land and start my own operation...Possibly IN Mexico.

I have been doing tons of research but, that pales in comparison to getting out and learning first-hand.

I yearn for a simpler existence...one that is connected to the earth and especially to the ocean.

I, like many Westerners, have lost something...in my pursuit for things...for status..for social media fame..or what have you. I would truly like to put all of that behind me and refocus my energies into something matters: Into community..into connection with the Earth  .Into tangible, sustainable and healthy living.

I would like to find a host that is passionate about organic farming and sustainability but, is also passionate about teaching and sharing what they know. I'm an incredibly fast and voracious learner..

I would be open to virtually any type pf farm, from coffee to fruit and nuts to orchids..however, I'd like to find a farm that has a variety of operations going.

A possibility might be a farm that is just starting out or that is just beginning to monetize or expand it's operation (this way my knowledge of finance, sales, and marketing might be of some actual use ;)  )

But I'm completely open to any situation that feels right...especially one that involves animals (of any kind) as animals and I get along famously :)

What I may lack in real experience in farming and sustainability, I make up for in passion, hard work and a thirst for knowledge.

I do have some basic homesteading experience but, it is limited.

I realize that in a WWOOFing situation one must be willing to start at the bottom and, as such...I have very few requirements and an open-ended and fluid time schedule. i.e., if it's a mutually beneficial and good fit, I can and will stay as long as I am needed and wanted.

My only real (and yet flexible) requirements would be access to a hot/warm shower and about 30 minutes a day of internet..even if that just means a reasonably close proximity to an internet cafe. I have several internet businesses that require a few minutes a day.

I also might require a private accommodation...even a tent...as I am told that i snore. heh.

I get along with most types of people and seem to have a calming presence/energy.

Thank you for making it to the end of my little intro here..

I'm sure there's more I could tell you but, I have to save a LITTLE mystery ...for now.

I'm a pretty open person..any questions or connections would be welcomed.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Warm Regards,

Jonathan Ribble
