Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
The development of this hillside property has progressed over many years resulting in garden terraces, water containment storage systems, a sheep corral/shed, and a propagating greenhouse along with other structures such as a home, studio, work shed and garage. All along, trees, vegetable gardens and ground covers have been planted.Creating a sustainable lifestyle didn't occur to me until a few years ago when I noticed that I would rather spend time and money building a chicken shed than trekking into town to buy my eggs. I also began to find satisfaction in cooking, baking, and canning from the produce in the garden.I'm generally in awe of this area, the magical mountains of Michoacan, a region that seems to exude a profound energy creating a sense of wholeness and well-being. The dynamic and expansive view plays a strong role in connecting spirit with nature. Similarly, the graciousness of the people and their long history with and dependence on the land is a testament to their own spiritual connectedness.I’ve come to believe that developing a deep sense of responsibility to the caretaking of animals, plants, and the environment is a worthy and challenging endeavor. If you think Holy Molé is a place where you would be willing to join in the effort, please get in contact with me........erongaed@yahoo.com

Together with my partner Yuriko we are travelling by bicycle through Mexico. We have been WWOOFING in Japan for over 1 year. We love WWOOFing mainly because we can meet local people. We arrive by airplane in Guadajaria city on the 7th of may. If you can host us at the end of May or in June we can travel towards you. We have no time limit really, so would like to stay for at least 2 weeks. Please contact me through the WWOOF Mexico website or by email at aidanf@utas.edu.au. Gracias.

Hello!

How are you? A friend and I are coming to Mexico on August 18 and would like to work on your farm from August 22 to September 14. We are both hardworking and very focused on the task at hand and we learn quickly. Right now we volunteer at a community garden so we have experience with working on the land.

I am a student at University of Oregon in Eugene, OR, USA and I am very interested in other cultures. My friend and I would very much like to learn from Mexican culture, and are excited to meet locals.

I appreciate your consideration and will hear from you soon! =)

Best Wishes,

Joe and Bobo

Hi Edward,

My name is Rachael and I am a 22-year-old living and working in the non-profit sector in New York City. I would love to come WWOOF at your farm and contribute in Erongaricuaro. Though I do not have any organic farming experience, I am a fast learner, hard-working and flexible. I have also spent several months volunteering with children in Peru, Costa Rica and Argentina and am conversational in Spanish. I am really interested to learn more about organic farming and Mexico - I would love to help at your farm in January (1 month).

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Rachael

Hola Edward,
we are Johannes and Susanne from Germany.
We were living in Mexico for 5 month, travelled some time to Guatemala and Belize. Now we are back in Mexico.
Your project sounds very interesting.

Johannes studied landscape architecture and I (Susanne) Ethnology focused on cultures in mesoamerica and ethnobotany.
We want to use our theoretical knowledge and develop it. So we are interested in getting to know new and ecological types of farming and more.
We are open minded, interested in other cultures, lifestyles and various types of farming.
It would be a pleasure for us to help you with your project!
We speak english, spanish and german and are 26 years old.
We worked on a farm in Guatemala (harvesting, composting, reparing), in Campeche (helping to build a house and working with wood) and in Yucatán (composting, planting and building new beds).

We would like to arrive in your place around the 9th of January and work for 1 week. We know it is near-term but maybe it is possible.
We are looking forward to hear from you and get to know eachother!

Muchos saludos Johannes y Susanne
