I have recently had some travel plans fall through and am looking for a place to be where I can be useful (in a warm place) for 7-21 February.  I have 5 years experience with my own very large organic vegetable garden, and I also bake bread and other things on a regular basis.

Hi David--Oh, I'm so bummed...yesterday about an hour before I got your message, I booked a ticket (got a great deal) to Zihuatenejo.  I should have waited a couple more days for replies, but I was getting antsy (and it did turn out that I got the last seat on one of my legs).  Maybe next time.  Best of luck!  Mara

Gracias

Hola David,

Your description sounds exactly what I am looking for. I'm flying into Mexico City on the 17th of Feb and am looking to do a bit of food orientated WWOOF-ing.

In terms of experience I have picked apples and olives in australia and back in england I have worked in quite a few bakeries mainly baking cakes. As ridiculous as it may sound, I have a deep respect for bread and as of yet only learnt techniques in a hobbiest capacity. I can't think of anything more relevant and exciting then working in your garden and picking up some techniques along the way!

I also think your place would be the best to start as you're relatively close to Mexico City and I'm guessing that if you're from Canada your gonna speak a bit of English!

Realistically I'd say I'll be free from the end of feb, but if you have any vacancies earlier/later I'm sure I could work something out. I've got a blog if you'd like to have a look: www.tuck-box.blogspot.com

If you were to take me on I'd love to take a few pics and write about the experience. Hopefully I'll hear back from you, I'd just be good to have a vague plan or goal or speak to someone already out there...

Best Wishes

Chris

Hello
My name is Rachel.  Im 28 years old from California.  Right now I am in Guadaljara looking to WWOOF in the area for the next two weeks.  My knowledge of agriculture is not abundant, however I have WWOOFed before in Australia and New Zealand and spent a month on a farm in Thailand.  In the states I work in the field of outdoor education, where I take kids hiking, camping, and climbing around various national parks in California.  I am really interested in learning more about permaculture and sustainable agriculture, and your farm seems like a great place to learn.  I'm happy to work hard if you can give me some guidance!  I speak some Spanish, but looking to improve. Would you have any space for me this month?  Thanks for your time!

Hi David,

This is Krystal Frost from Organic Select in Puerto Vallarta.  We do have a gluten free bakery and have developed a gluten free flour of amaranth and brown rice.  We would like to develope a luten free sandwich bread and foccacia.  If you have interest in working in this area, we will have an opening in the summer for a person that understands the bread making process.

thanks

Hola David!
We are french people, Noemie and Michael (25 & 26 years old).
We live in Canada at this time, and we will travel through Mexico in June and July.
Our vision about traveling is to learn about the culture and help small communities with volunteer work, like that we know that we can have a unique experience and we can share our knowledge with other people.
We both speak english and french, with spanish notions.
We'd love to join you for 2 or 3 weeks in July 2012 if this is possible and if you can take us. Hopefully i'll hear back from you soon.
Gracias,
Noemie & Michael

Hi David!

Hope you're well and all is going great for you with your bakery and farm!

I'm coming from Seattle, Washington and will be in Mexico for the month of July and am hoping to find a great farm to woof with. I don't have a ton of experience with agricultural processes but have worked in a small, local cafe for the last year and also speak pretty decent Spanish if you need help in the market. If you anticipate needing any help this summer, please let me know and I would love to spend time with your farm/bakery! I'm more than willing to help with whatever is needed or whatever you are willing to teach me :-)

I'd love to send you any other information you might need and hope to hear from you soon! Have a great day!

Emily Richey
