I am a canadian-mexican citizen and I have many plans in doing organic farming and raising animals without growth hormones.
My family and I own about 35 hectares of beautiful land in the "Country of the Monark butterfly" in the regions of Irimbo, Aporo and Hidalgo in the state of Michoacan.I am just starting to plant trees, build cabins and buy animals, so I need plenty of help to get the farms going. The weather here is very nice. It is goes from 4 to 22 degress in winter and from 10 to 25 in the months of april and may. The rainy (june-september) season brings reshnes. I speak very fluently French, English and Spanish.

The farms are near town so woofers can go explore and have fun or take spanish courses.

I am building cabins, but in case of there no being room, there is plenty of camping ground with amazing views. There is much running water.

The main meal will be served around 2 or 3. It will be vegeterian and ocasionaly non-vegetarian. There will be a large variety of fruit and vegetables available for woofers at any time of the day. Eggs, bread, beans, milk, oatmeal, etc., will be given for breakfast.
I know that a well-nurished wwoofer is a happy and hard working wwoofer.

Hello,
We are two Canadian women in our twenties. Both students and hard workers. We will be spending some time farming in mexico this summer and would like to wwoof in Michoacan..
We are both eager to lean more about sustainable small scale farming. Would you be able to host 2 volunteers for two weeks or longer around July 5th? Please let us know as soon as possible. We will be farming in Jalisco and want to plan our next move!Delete Comment

Hi, my girlfriend (from quebec) and I are looking for a place to wwoof for 1-3 months beginning in late July or early August. We have sustainable agricultural skills and knowledge ranging from ~basic to intermediate. We are both positive, easy going and hard working.

Besides agriculture, I am a good cook and I am good with computers.
We both speak Spanish, Portuguese, English and French (me a little).

Please let me know if you have any space available then and more information on your farm and the work that would be available.

Thanks,

Guillermo

Hello, my girlfriend and I are currently in Mexico visiting the country and we are very interested in working in an organic farm while we are here. We are both 29 years old, first time Woofers but very eager and able to learn. My girlfriend grew up in a farm and has been exposed to growing vegetables for several years. She is spanish and speaks the both English and Spanish language fluenty. I am Irish and speak conversational spanish. We are both animal lovers (and dog owners) and are very interested in helping raise animals in a sustainable way . We are both very fit and atheltic (so will have no problems on any of the duties on the farm) and available to start working as soon as possible.

Hola,
I (US-based Turkish) and my girlfriend Caterina (Italian) would like to join your farm as volunteers between 12-27 June. Dates may be adjusted or prolonged, please let us know what suits you. We are friendly and hardworking people who are trying to see different parts of Mexico and improve our Spanish (I should say this: We are just lovely). Caterina had experience with WWOOF farms before and as a graduate student interested in sustainable agriculture I want to start learning about it on the ground. We would be handy for work on soil. Please let us know if you have space available. My email address is alper.yagci@yahoo.com.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!

Hola!
My friend Candice and I would like to WOOF in the Chiapas area. We are very interested in the political history, culture and terrain there. We are both Canadian and will be spending time in Mexico this summer.
We are 2 strong, intelligent, kind and hard working women. We're also both a lot of fun to be around! We both truly appreciate agriculture and are eager to learn.
What type of farming is done at your farm? Could you tell me a bit more about the farm itself?
Would you have room for 2 volunteers to WOOF for 2 weeks or longer between the period of June 9th to August 9th 2010?

Please let us know. I look forward to hearing from you!
