Hola,

We are a couple in our late twenties, from Portland, Oregon, and we will be traveling in Mexico for several months starting in late February.  We both speak a little Spanish and are dedicated to learning more during our travels.  We don't have much farming experience but are experienced with small organic gardens in the pacific northwest and are very excited to learn more about farming, especially in Mexico.  We are hardworking, responsible, and enjoy working with our hands.  We also know a little about natural, sustainable building.  We are avid rock climbers and plan on climbing throughout Mexico during our travels.

We would love to learn more about how we could help out on your farm.  Please get in touch if you have space and an opportunity for us to work in late February or March.  We are flexible on dates and length of stay.  Let us know what you need.

Gracias!

Lindsey and Kyle

Andrew Johnson Comment by Andrew Johnson on January 21, 2011 at 8:23am

Hello,

My name is Andy Johnson and I am from Florida in the US. I will be traveling in Honduras for the month of February and am interested in staying around the end of February-early March...

I can offer first and foremost enthusiasm and dedication to hard work and community. As far as gardening goes, I have tended a small herb and flower garden with my girlfriend before, and know the commitment even the smallest garden may take.

As far as animal care, I have useful experience with horses, including herd care, basic medical care, feeding, riding lessons, trail rides and overnight trips, as well as household animals. This past summer, I was one of four wranglers who took care of  herd of about 60 horses, and worked with children from ages 7-16 on day long to week long overnight trips. I love animals very much, and would love to help take care of yours.

I can also offer ample experience with construction and building projects.  I am familiar and can use most tools and power tools, have worked on  many carpentry and drywall projects from basement remodeling to entire house remodeling as well as volunteer projects in Ecuador building a kitchen for a small non-profit.

I have four years of Spanish and will be traveling for the next four months to improve my Spanish, read, write, and experience. I am a vegan/vegetarian (when possible while traveling) and am committed to sustainable food. I am very interesting in learning organic farming, and especially building and construction projects, and would love to take part in the building of anything of the property.

Please email me with further info!!!!

Marco Philippi Comment by Marco Philippi on February 1, 2011 at 11:43pm

Hello there :)

My name is Marco. I'm currently in Guadalajara and would like to visit you and volunteer at your farm! I don't exactly have much experience in farm-work, except for harvesting grapes, which i used to do as a job in my hometown in Germany. But i'm a total animal and nature lover and a hard worker and quick learner as well.

I'd say i'm easy going and humble. I'm fine with camping anyways...

I'm a passionated cook and therefore really appreciate organic food :)

My dream is to have my own little organic farm/hostal one day when i'm done travelling around the world! But until then there's a lot to learn!

I have special interest in your farm, because it says in your description that you are bulding earthships! I read about earthships and that, finally was one of the reasons for me to cross the atlantic ocean! I want to visit them for an internship in summer.

Oh by the way, I'm 24 and have studied photography. At the moment i am travelling the earth working as independent as possible..

So right now i'm here in Guadalajara, concentrating on improving my spanish. I would be available anytime from now..

I'd be very glad to hear from you!

Cheers! Marco

We have a good level in English also because of last 4 months in California.

Alison Burnett Comment by Alison Burnett on April 12, 2011 at 4:30pm

Good afternoon Adriana,

My name is Ali and I am an English exchange student studying in Guadalajara as part of my Modern Languages degree. I have never WWOOFed before but I would absolutely love to get involved with your project work, especially the earthships and animal care. I am no stranger to hard work as I grew up on farmland and spent every weekend planting, weeding, composting and mucking out cattle and horse sheds..all of which I would love to do again in a rural area in Mexico. I speak Spanish, English, and French and am available for hard work between 15th April and 30th April...ie this weekend!! I know it may be too late notice to organise, but I am ready to jump on a bus to your farm at any point, be it for 1 or 2 weeks! My email is aburnett282@gmail.com if you have any questions or availabilities. Many thanks and I hope to hear from you soon, Ali

Jannie Buhl Knudsen Comment by Jannie Buhl Knudsen on June 20, 2011 at 7:45am

Hi!

Rancho el Guaje seems as a very nice place to volunteer! We are 3 danish girls travelling around in Mexico 7 weeks in july and august during the summer. We would very much like to learn more about organic farming! One of us has had some great previous wwoofing experience in New Zealand and Spain, which is why we are inspired to make wwoofing our way of travelling around and getting closer to the nature and culture of Mexico.

We all come from the countryside and have experience with animals and plants. For instance two of us have really good experience with horses.

We don't have our own tents, but if yours is available it would be perfect for us.

Are you looking for enthusiastic workers in july or august? We would be able to stay for a week or maybe more, and will promise to put a lot of energy and effort in our work !

Best wishes

Tine, Marie and Jannie
