holy mole is a two acre hillside area just out side of Erongaricauro, it currently has three buildings, on the upper half, at different stages of completion, the view of lago de Patzcuaro is absolutely breath taking. The lower half is where the garden will developed, currently we have a sheep shed with eight sheep and a small hen house with three happy hens and a corral where we made adobes last year. I'm interested in a collaborative effort into creating sustainable living. We will start by preparing soil through composting for growing herbs in pots, vegetables in beds, and a special cactus fruit named patahya in rows. Canning and trying out different recipes that use all of the harvest, plus solar energy and water storage and conservation will be explored as time permits.

Lodging:

The main building is two stories and has two very comfortable bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom, shower with hot water where you would stay.

Meals:

I will provide the three meals each day and would expect some help with dinner and the clean up. I love making new dishes from Mexican and Indian recipes. I have had good luck with both.

Hello,
Working on perfecting my Spanish, but it has a way to go. My plan is to spend most of the inter in Mexico as a volunteer on various farms traveling by bicycle inbetween. I am not afraid of hard work and would like to learn everything possible about organic farming. Last winter I cycled from Orlando, FL to Cancun. This trip included a 2 months stay in Veracruz. I fell in love with Mexico and that's why I'm hoping you will need my help.

Buenas Tardes,
Ambos hablamos Español y Ingles, y yo hablo Frances.
Elise Cote

Hola!

My name is Kaitlin and I am a recent graduate and a first time WWOOFer. I will be traveling in Mexico from (approx.) July 17th through August 24th and am extremely interested in working at your farm if you have the space for me. I am interested in learning all I can about sustainable living and eco-friendly business practices so that when I return home I can really apply my knowledge and share it with as many as possible. I am also eager to improve my very basic Spanish skills and learn first hand from locals of Mexico's vibrant hisotry, customs and culture! I am a very hard worker and very personable. I love meeting new people and the especially the exchange of knowledge and ideas with those from different cultures. I am enthusiastic and very open-minded. If you have room for me during the month+ I will be in your area I would love to hear from you and exchange more information!

Best,

Kaitlin

We are both eager to lean more about sustainable small scale farming. Would you be able to host 2 volunteers for two weeks or longer around July 5th? Please let us know as soon as possible. We will be farming in Jalisco and want to plan our next move!Delete Comment

Hola,

I and my girlfriend Caterina would like to join your farm as volunteers between 12-28 June. Dates may be adjusted or prolonged, please let us know what suits you. We are friendly and hardworking people who are trying to see different parts of Mexico and improve our Spanish (upper intermediate). Caterina had experience with WWOOF farms before and as a graduate student interested in sustainable agriculture I want to start learning about it on the ground. We would be handy for garden work. Please let us know if you have space available. My email address is alper.yagci@yahoo.com.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
