Hacienda Cuch-Balam is a concept that so far in Yucatan, has NOT been seen. We are a small boutique hotel/rental accomadation hacienda that has its own organic produce such as veggies, meat and our ever growing fruit trees….
We are 100% sola powered, recycle all of our own water and make all our own pesticides/herbicides and any type of cides.
We are looking for fun people who have a little knowledge but mostly a lot of enthusiasm to help us with our mammoth task of bringing organic food to the Yucatan and become the first recognised organic hamper service.
We work 8am-1pm and then a couple of hours in the evening cool, work consists of everything from weeding, transplanting, sowing seeds, making beds and help with the gardens….so if your up for a challenge, want to come a long and stay with us then please get in touch.
Woofers get accommodation and 3 meals a day, anything else like snacks or beer is your responsibility but if your really good and clever maybe some tequilla!

I've been living and teaching in Spain for the last two years. Before I moved to Spain i worked as a landscape gardener for 3 years, I don't know alot about Sustainable farming methods but I have practical experience in groundwork, construction and planting. I'm looking forward to doing some manual labour again and i want to learn more about resourceful farming and gardening. I will be in Mexico at the start of November and would love to help out at your farm.

I’d love to help your farm in any way I can. I’ll be in Mexico from November on. I have experience in organic farming with planting, weeding, composting, digging out beds, irrigating and harvesting crops as well as minor construction, bee-keeping and maintenance work. I have also worked in landscaping and road maintenance.

My name is Jimmy Videle, 38.From 2005-2009 I was owner and operator of an organic farm in Northern Arizona, Moonrise Farms. We grew over 200 varieties of vegetables and herbs, raised chickens for eggs and raised Nubian Goats for milk and cheese production. Since Jan. 1st, 2010 I have been wwoofing at three different farms in Hawaii. I have experience in many different aspects of organic farming from soil building to post-harvest handling and direct marketing.
My friend Melanie Bernier, who also wwoofed in Hawaii, and I will be traveling in the Yucatan in Mid-January 2011 and would like to wwoof on your farm.
We are both very hard-working, fun, and eager to learn about farming in Mexico. Let me know if you could use us.

Soy una joven (24) Holandesa de origen mexicano y danes,quiero ir a visitar Mexico y viajar para descubrir mas mi herencia mexicana, amo estar en la naturaleza y creo que trabajar en una granja es una gran experiencia para poder conocer la tierra y conocer gente nueva, mi plan es el de llegar alli a finales de febrero o primeros de marzo, espero que tengan un lugar en este periodo para que yo pueda colaborar alli como voluntaria.

I am a young 24 year old Mexican/ Danish girl, living in Holland. I want to visit Mexico and travel there to discover more of my Mexican heritage, I love being in nature and I think working on a farm would be a great experience and a opportunity to get to know the land better and meet new people. My plan is to arrive in late February or early March. Hopefully you'll have a spot open for me in this period to come help out as a volunteer, I am looking forward to this adventure and learning experience and I hope to hear from you soon!

I'm landscape architect, I use to work outside, planting, gardening, woodwork, stonework..
It's been two months I'm wwoofing in Canada doing that kind of task but also picking mushrooms or building a woodmade house.
I like to cook, I'd just learn to bake bread.
I have to improve my spanish but I learned it at scool, it should come back fast.
