Farm in Bacalar, Quintana Roo

We are located in the Bacalar Lagoon in southern Quintana Roo , Mexico. As part of our self sustaining principle we run a 100% organic farm. Its has been functioning for more than 6 years now, and we practice several methods, like organic compost, earth worms, bocachi, moon cycles etc. We produce a number of fruits and vegetables (many of them endemic) which we use for self consumption and for the restaurant. farm's name: Huerto Organico de Akal Ki name of owner or person in charge: luis lopez antunez description of the farm (size, conditions, crops, projects, activities, etc.): The farm has an extension of a little over 10'000m2, its located in hot tropical weather area, we grow different crops: banana, papaya, chile habanero, corn, cabbage, cucumber, mango, tomatoe, are amog some. We are constatly preparing organic insecticides and fertilizers like bocachi and Biol. work required from WWOOFers: Activities range from terrain cleaning, soil preparation, planting, harvesting, preparation of organic insecticides and fertilizers , among others.  description of accommodation and meals provided:We have a Special Palapa in the Jungle, where woofers can camp or hang hamacas, its got 2 toilets and a fresh water for showering. We will provide 3 meals a day which are prepared by the restaurants kitchen. Can be either vegetarian or non vegetarian.
