WWOOF Mexico

Hi, I'm interested in wwoofing from jan-march and I've sent messages and emails to at least 15 farms and have not heard back from a single one. I am wondering if this is a common occurrence, or if anyone knows of any farms that are definitely looking for people for this period.

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

I don't really know what's going on, I've writing to some farms as well, since november, and haven't heard back neither.
Hopefully they answer soon even if it's to say they can't accept wwoofers at the time or something.
I wonder if we could contact WWOOF Mexico about this matter.
Good Luck!

Yep guess what i've had the same problem too. It´s just a question of keep trying. Some farms are not taking volunteers and just dont bother getting back in touch. Some are not actually working at the moment due to the season. Some are jus plain slack! I've managed to get work on 2 different farms over the 2 months i've been travelling, just keep trying and they will get in touch with you eventually. Good luck and keep us posted on any answers you get.

Same problem here! Does anyone know to send personalized e-mail messages to the farms (in addition to the public messages that I have already posted). I hope all of your luck has changed!

Hello!

I made contact with a farm called neirika. They have a web site at http://nierika.info/ and they are also on wwoof mexico, somewhere. I am going to try to go to haiti to help with the earthquake but if I can not then I will work with these guys. Sounds like a really cool place.

Did you send them messages or just post public comments on their pages? Often farms don't look at the comments posted on their pages. Did you allow two weeks for them to reply? If you sent them messages and more than two weeks have passed, please let us know which farms you contacted and did not reply.

Go to the farm page, click on the "Link to contact the farm administrator" and click on "Send a message" under the photo.
